Hard Road has echo's of Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle & Bon Jovi colouring
the music but the final stamp has come together as the sound of WYATT. As the
album says, 'This is ROCK COUNTRY'. The record was recorded at the CLUBHOUSE in
Regina with JUNO Award winner Jason Plumb (The Waltons, Jason Plumb and the
Willing). This amazing singer-songwriter turned engineer and producer kept the
sound true to WYATT, adding his own influences and pushing Fortier and Patrick
as songwriters to take the songs to that next plateau.
There are 10 tracks on the album that illustrate the shifting and various
dynamics of relationships. Feedback from fans is that the songs come across
as honest and authentic and, as one fan put it, 'those are the sexiest songs I
have ever heard'.
