WYATT
(def’n): The sound of
absynth, The feel of groove, touch of craft and the taste of music. Songs that
strip you naked and leave you needing more!
WYATT is singer-songwriters
& guitarist’s Daniel Fortier and Scott Patrick. Their
songwriting is an earthy blues/rock-country hybrid melting
together traces of the Americana tradition of artists like Tom
Petty, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Sheryl Crow, Lyle Lovett,
Blue Rodeo & The Roadhammers. WYATT has also welcomed SCMA
award winning bassist Shaun Dancey and Saskatoon's Aussie import
Bray Hudson on drums to fill out the WYATT sonic team!
Wyatt
is a recipient of Rawlco Radio’s 10K20 $10,000 recording award
and was recently recognized as one of the top 50 rising stars
from Saskatchewan by a jury consisting of Brad Johner, Jack
Semple and Jay Semko.
WYATT
has dedicated the last two years to refining their sound,
crafting honest original songs (resulting in their latest
offering) and enhancing their live show which has become one of
WYATT’s intrinsic strengths.
The result is simple:
Wyatt’s
music is their own; rooted in crafted songs, textured in tequila
soaked guitar tones and the emotionally powerful vocals of
Daniel and Scott. They are grounded by a solid, expressively
unrelenting rhythm section provided by Shaun and Bray and the
four together produce a powerhouse of chemistry that is
undeniable. Whether performing as a duo or full band, Wyatt’s
upbeat brand of bittersweet introspection and hook filled
grooves are catching ears and moving feet.
The
band has bonded together personally and professionally and this
dynamic is quite apparent as they hit the stage. Audiences are
continually grappling for more – a certain guarantee with every
WYATT performance. With the release of “SNOWED IN” and their
new highly anticipated offering “HARD ROAD”, the next year will
be spent on building on the already growing buzz locally and
breaking into new demographics across the country bymeans of
constant touring and promotion
Backed
by solid indie management expertise through WYATTmusic, it is
now time to unhinge WYATT’s brand of “ROCK COUNTRY”. Best get
ready to dance..... and don’t forget your hat. |
